The first route of the museum ship will be the Mediterranean, an area of millennia of history and exchange, which has always mobilized and nourished the inspiration of artists, and naturally invites intercultural dialogue.

Water lilies
“Water Lilies” was created in 2025 for the 4th year contemporary dance students at the Elementary School for Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance, at the Elementary School Vežica, Rijeka. Inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies” and set to Claire de Lune by Debussy, the work is a meditation on peace, interdependence and the flow of water. The dancers investigated aspects of flow, falling, stability and instability in partnership.
Natalie Harb: Land Inventory
Land Inventory is an immersive sound installation created in collaboration with artist Youmna Saba. Through a curated inventory list and field recordings from Lebanese soils, the project explores what remains, what has changed, and what might be lost of Lebanon’s natural and cultural heritage – its flora, fauna, landmarks, and homes.

Praksa Choir
The choir Praksa nurtures antifascist values through music, performing songs that promote class solidarity and the overcoming of national barriers. Such songs have been empowering the marginalized and oppressed for centuries, advocating for a fairer life. Since the choir’s founding in March 2014, we have held over 200 performances in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Italy, Austria, France, Sweden and Spain.

The House of Extreme Music Theatre - Schachto-Culture: Clockspiderrainbewegen
The House of Extreme Music Theatre is a Zagreb-based performance group by the artist duo Damir Bartol Indoš and Tanja Vrvilo, which has been creating performance theatre works and sculptural sound installations based on the interaction of several media and forms of the essay theatre.
Sunny Sun
Sunny Sun is a talented DJ and producer based in Ljubljana, with roots tracing back to both Syria and Croatia. He began his musical journey as a 14-year-old emcee, performing on stage at drum and bass and hip-hop parties while also exploring beatmaking.
Botanical footprints of the Mediterranean" workshop
This workshop combines artistic expression with an exploration of Mediterranean flora. Participants discover local aromatic and medicinal plants such as lavender, immortelle, rosemary and sage, which they then press using a contemporary technique combining a botanical press and a microwave. The resulting botanical imprints are used to create personal postcards, bookmarks or small visual compositions. This process invites us to reflect on impermanence, the beauty of detail and nature as the living memory of the Mediterranean.

Performance Emilija Škarnulytė
Emilija Škarnulytė is an artist and filmmaker, born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Working between the documentary and the imaginary, Škarnulytė makes films and immersive installations exploring deep time and invisible structures, from the cosmic and geologic to the ecological and political. Winner of the 2019 Future Generation Art Prize and the Ars Fennica Award 2023, Škarnulytė represented Lithuania at the XXII Triennale di Milano and was included in the Baltic Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Biennale of Architecture.
Immersjoni
Immersjoni is a venture embarked on by Giaçinté and Tina, focusing on interpreting their shared adventures, continuous exploration, and thriving curiosity. Their electronic, hybrid sessions reflect sensitivity to unique sounds, global instruments, and complex vocals, which are layered and combined through digital, vinyl, and analogue hardware. A fondness for these elements rapidly unfolds through abstract grooves, deep basslines, and mind-bending hypnotic experiences.
Divertimento
For 17-year-old Zahia Ziouani and her twin sister, Fettouma, classical symphonic music holds an unparalleled significance. Despite residing in the underprivileged suburbs of Paris in 1995, with an Algerian background, their pursuit of dreams – Zahia aspiring to be an orchestra conductor and Fettouma a cellist – is marked by relentless challenges. Undeterred by adversity, fueled by determination, passion, and courage, they boldly establish their own orchestra, Divertimento. This initiative proves to be a transformative force, poised to redefine their journey and impact the world of classical music.

Mare Nostrum by KorMalta - Malta`s National Choir
Under the direction of chorus master Riccardo Bianchi, KorMalta embarks on a captivating musical odyssey themed around the sea. The ensemble's repertoire spans from the Renaissance era, featuring the timeless Mille Regretz attributed to Josquin Des Prez, to Monteverdi's renowned madrigal Ecco Mormorar l’Onde, which is adorned with the poetic brilliance of Torquato Tasso.

The Art Explora Festival offers a rich, multi-disciplinary program including visits to the museum ship, exhibition pavilions, virtual reality experiences, artistic performances, concerts, conferences, film screenings, creative workshops and meetings. All Festival events are free of charge. Please note, however, that some events - such as workshops - require a reservation via the ticket office. Please consult the page dedicated to each event for more information on times and booking procedures.

Yes, the boat is freely accessible on site. However, you can pre-book your time online on our website.
For reasons of safety and preservation of the boat, high heels and stilettos may not be worn on the boat.
To take part in the workshops and meetings offered during the Festival, you'll generally need to register in advance. Information on how to register will be available on the dedicated event page, where you can also find details of times and how to take part.

The museum boat is open to all free of charge. To find out on which quay it will be moored, or to pre-book your slot, consult the page dedicated to your town.
Appropriate facilities have been set up on the Festival site for the reception and access of people with reduced mobility. The boat is equipped with a 1m-wide ramp, accessible to people with reduced mobility, but may require the accompaniment of a third party due to its gradient of over 6%. Access to the aft deck and immersive exhibition is possible. However, the upper deck is not accessible. Please inform us in advance of any special accessibility requirements, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
