Traditional esparto grass weaving workshop
This esparto workshop in Ibiza offers a brief introduction to this traditional craft, once essential to island life. Participants will learn about the origin, uses, and preparation of this natural fiber, while reflecting on the importance of preserving these traditions. As a final activity, they will create a small handmade item, such as a pendant or keychain, to take home as a souvenir.

The first panel talk opens on the city of Tangier! Conversation proposed by Think Tanger, an innovative cultural organization in dialogue with Port Cities, a project that extends thinking on port cities and maritime spaces beyond the Mediterranean.

AITA MON AMOUR
The vibrant duo from Aita electro make their Tangier debut in a concert that sets the tone for the festival! Aïta Mon Amour is a duo made up of Widad Mjama and Khalil EPI . This project is the fruit of Widad's fascination with the ancestral Moroccan art of the Aïta, a popular musical genre rooted in the Moroccan countryside and sung by the Chikhates, the women guardians of a centuries-old tradition. Aïta, meaning 'cry' or 'call' in Moroccan dialect Arabic, embodies both the call of the warriors and the lament of love. This contemporary electronic musical project explores this rich tradition dating back to the 12th century. Aïta Mon Amour honors this oral art form with a desire to build bridges between past and present, to deconstruct the perceptions that define the genre, and to make it resonate in the contemporary, digital era.

GJ LEITH B2B GBW9 + NINAFTERDARK + 212 THUG
GJ LEITH and GBW9 export the Marrakchia avant-garde with their G2G evening. G2G (GET 2GETHER) is a proposal initiated by a trio made up of GJ LEITH, GBW9 and Alia Belgsir since the first artistic residencies organized by the collective as part of the Khial Nkhel project. They offer the dj booth to 212 Thug, a rising star on the Moroccan scene, and Ninafterdark, a talented Italian artist and DJ with an elusive style.

Traces of disappearance with Abderrahim Benattabou
Inspired by "Gyotaku", an ancient Japanese technique for reproducing fish prints on materials such as paper or fabric, this workshop led by Abderrahim Benatabou aims to raise awareness of the fragile existence of these species.

As'tta, Bahija Sajid (Invited by Mouhawalat Collective) - Mahatta
Bahija Sajid uses a monologue that blends plastic poetry and lyrical prose to reclaim her gesture of transmission. The performance combines hand-weaving and singing, exploring the transmission of stories and craft skills.

In Praise of Sensibility - A Visit with Hamedine Kane
L'éloge du sensible is a chapter in a new series of photos and videos by artist Hamedine Kane, stemming from his iconographic research for the project "Le livre d'image, Africa XXI #1, Les luttes". Anchored in a perpetual wandering movement, this approach explores the manifestations of the living, bypassing anxiety-provoking social and political situations. Kane favors intimate, secret spaces of production, mobilizing the power of becoming in motion. Unlike power, which is often oppressive, power always belongs to and serves the people. The confinement and violence inflicted on the people are not inevitable, for with power, the people engage in a permanent revolutionary process.

Dima Dayma, autobiography of a Mika with Soukaina Aziz Idrissi x Les Bonnes Ondes
"Dima Dayma" is the steroid-boosted, Cornelian autobiography of a polymer who would have preferred death to eternal wandering. Tossed about by the wind, the ragmen and the waves, a plastic bag recounts its misadventure to anyone who will listen. The story is supplemented by valuable information from waste management professionals, a former ragpicker and members of civil society...

"Synthetic Agencies" by THINK TANGER
For its second Panel Talk, Think Tanger will continue to explore the fate of cities and their transformations accelerated by exogenous factors. This meeting launches their new series entitled "Synthetic Agencies".

The Blue House - Meet and screening with Hamedine Kane and Fatima Bintou Rassoul Sy
Alongside Hamedine Kane's solo exhibition at the Ibn Battuta Museum, the artist is offering an exclusive screening of three of his short films in the agora. This screening will be followed by a talk with Senegalese curator Fatima Bintou Rassoul Sy about one of the artist's latest projects, which investigates the devastating consequences of industrial fishing on Dakar's fishing communities. The films are: The Blue House, Inhabiting the World, and In the Shadow of Our Ghosts.

Pedal*art: Seeing and drawing while pedaling
While exploring the city by bike with MJ Bike, you'll have the opportunity to use your QALAM to sketch and capture the surrounding details. This activity combines art and sustainable mobility, allowing you to enjoy the city while minimizing your environmental footprint.

The Art Explora Festival offers a rich, multi-disciplinary program including visits to the museum ship, exhibition pavilions, virtual reality experiences, artistic performances, concerts, lectures, film screenings, creative workshops and meetings. You'll be able to discover local and international artists, as well as thinkers and cultural players exploring contemporary themes related to the Mediterranean region. All Festival events are free of charge. Please note, however, that some events - such as workshops - require a reservation via the ticket office. Please consult the page dedicated to each event for more information on times and booking procedures.

Yes, the boat is freely accessible on site. However, you can pre-book your time online on our website.
For reasons of safety and preservation of the boat, high heels and stilettos may not be worn on the boat.
To take part in the workshops and meetings offered during the Festival, you'll generally need to register in advance. Information on how to register will be available on the dedicated event page, where you can also find details of times and how to take part.
Yes, the Art Explora Festival also offers child-friendly activities, such as creative workshops specially designed for young participants. Take a look at the program to find out about events and activities for children and families.
The museum boat is open to all free of charge. To find out on which quay it will be moored, or to pre-book your slot, consult the page dedicated to your town.
Appropriate facilities have been set up on the Festival site for the reception and access of people with reduced mobility. The boat is equipped with a 1m-wide ramp, accessible to people with reduced mobility, but may require the accompaniment of a third party due to its gradient of over 6%. Access to the aft deck and immersive exhibition is possible. However, the upper deck is not accessible. Please inform us in advance of any special accessibility requirements, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
